SUMMARY

Under close supervision, Internal Control Specialist assists in controlling of the Company’s operational activities by controlling and reviewing all transactions (lending, cash, retail and other) in strict compliance with Company’s internal policies & procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Carries out the internal control functions in accordance with Internal Control Procedures and Instructions.
  • Conducts risk assessment of all branches and/or functional departments/units.
  • Observes and controls performance of the service centers by using distance (red flags, MIS reports) tools or on-site visits. Ensures they operate in accordance with organization’s policies and procedures, follows Code of Conduct.
  • Is responsible to prepare, present and maintain reports regarding internal control reviews in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Reports risk management issues and internal control identified deficiencies. Provides recommendations for organization’s operations improvement.
  • Conducts meetings with service center management and discusses all findings in details.
  • Conducts special investigations under the supervision of Head of Risks, Compliance and Internal Control Department.
  • Follows-up on missing items or non-compliances and reports all findings to the Head of Risks, Compliance and Internal Control Department.
  • IC Specialist escalates findings to the Head of the Department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Bachelor degree in business/finance required;
  • 1-2 years’ experience in controlling or operations of financial organization;
  • A demonstrated knowledge of internal controls;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of EEC policy; ability to work in a diverse environment;
  • Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities; exhibition of objectivity and openness to others’ views;
  • Ability to meet productivity standards, complete work in timely manner and strive to increase productivity;
  • Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness;
  • Analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Fluent in Armenian and English languages, both in speaking and writing; Knowledge of Russian is preferable;
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and Word;
  • Ability to travel extensively.
