Late Recovery Specialist

Job description

The Late Recovery Specialist is responsible for the collection process of written-off loans. The specialist makes phone calls to borrowers, guarantors and related persons, provides with necessary information, calls clients according to relevant procedure to reveal the reasons of financial difficulties, current financial situation and to find out further negotiation opportunities for closing overdue liabilities.

Duties and responsibilities

• Coordinates the collection process of written-off loans by making phone calls or, in case of need, meets with clients at the Head Office to try to understand their problems
• Listens effectively to customers, and tries to understand their issues/objections, trying to achieve the desired result of promise to pay from customers by means of effective negotiations
• Ensures communication with problem clients, their guarantors and related parties on debt payments
• Provides and receives information on the financial condition of customers with problem loans
• Prepares relevant reports upon manager’s request and according to appropriate procedures
• Participates in debt management committees of the relevant region according to existing procedures
• Implements other assignments given by the supervisors/managers connected with his/her main responsibilities, and in compliance with the law and internal legal acts

Competencies

• University degree
• At least 1 year of experience in the relevant field (call center or loan officer experience is desirable)
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), knowledge of AS-Bank 4 is preferred
• Fluent in Armenian (written and oral), knowledge of Russian and English is desirable
• Team work
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to effectively solve conflict and problematic situations
• Resistant to stress and emotionally resilient
• Analytical thinking
• Reliability and ability to perform assigned tasks independently and on time
