CHAIRPERSON OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS, INTERNAL DIRECTOR
Zar Wardak is FINCA Impact Finance’s Vice President & Division Director, where she leads the network’s operations in Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Jordan, Kosovo and Tajikistan.
Prior to becoming Division Director, Zar served as Regional Director for the Middle East and South Asia Region. Under Zar’s leadership, FINCA’s operations in the MESA region expanded to cover two full-service microfinance institutions and one bank, each of which now has more than 25,000 clients. Zar previously served as CEO of FINCA Afghanistan. Under her leadership, the company was able to achieve sustainability within three years. She implemented profitable microfinance solutions designed for local conditions.
Prior to joining FINCA, Zar worked as a financial services industry consultant in Afghanistan and served as Regional Sales Integration Director for Citibank in Texas before that.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Business from Southwestern College in Kansas and a Master of Science in Peace Operations from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
BOARD DIRECTOR, FINCA ARMENIA
Nivi is a technology and business leader with over 19 years of experience with expertise in leadership, strategic planning, technology and business transformation, and executive collaboration.
In her most recent role as Senior Director of Online Modernization and Digital Transformation at Dell Technologies, Nivi led a worldwide digital transformation to increase the proportion of sales coming through digital platforms.
In her previous role at Avaya, Nivi and her team were focused on monitoring, educating & driving programs to ensure Avaya’s channel partners are adhering to channel policies. Key priorities were reduction of special discounts & promotions abuse via the channel, prevention of gray market products from entering the marketplace as well as keeping the pressure on channel partners to renew and upgrade their install base.
Nivi also worked at Freescale Semiconductor (currently NXP Semiconductor) as Director of Customer Experience. During her tenure at Freescale, Nivi was responsible for the strategy and implementation of Freescale’s customer loyalty program and customer focus teams for their top 24 accounts.
Nivi holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a BS in Business from the University of Alabama, Huntsville.
BOARD DIRECTOR, FINCA ARMENIA
Murad Muradyan started off his professional career in 1991 as a programmer in the IT department of RA Ministry of Economy.
Murad is currently the director of Harmony Information Technologies and Education Development Fund. Prior to that he held the positions of IT manager at Project Harmony American non-profit organization, head of IT general department at the RA Ministry of Finance, and director of ARENA Scientific Research Network Association.
Murad has remarkable experience in implementation of electronic governance projects and has successfully led the development and deployment of a number of complex, integrated, multi-scope IT systems. He has joined FINCA in August of 2019.
Murad holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computational science from State Engineering University of Armenia. He has completed his Master’s and Post-doctoral studies in the same University.
BOARD DIRECTOR, FINCA ARMENIA
Richard Marney has a 45-year career in emerging markets banking, principal investing, economics, and asset management.
Richard holds the position of the Head of Risk Management at ResponsAbility Investments in Zurich, Switzerland. Before joining ResponsAbility Investments Richard worked as a Chief Market Strategist and Head Fund Manager at Developing World Markets and as the Head of Corporate Development, Product Management, and Market Research & Program Evaluation at Opportunity International.
Richard has lectured in the Department of Economics of the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) of the University of London.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER/MANAGEMENT BOARD CHAIRMAN
Steven Hass was born on November 6th 1959. He joined FINCA Impact Finance in 2018. Prior to joining FINCA Armenia, Steven has served as CEO of FINCA Ecuador and FINCA Nicaragua.
Steven has extensive and hands-on knowledge of commercial banking and microfinance. He joined FINCA with over 30 years of experience and has held leadership roles for SunTrust Bank (now Truist), First Horizon Bank, and Wachovia Bank (now Wells Fargo).
He earned an MBA in International Business from the University of South Carolina.
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER/ MANAGEMENT BOARD MEMBER
Vardan Haroyan was born on November 12, 1986. He has been serving as Chief Operating Officer at FINCA UCO CJCS since 2019.
Vardan has remarkable professional experience in banking, particularly in development and implementation of digital financial services, credits, sales and financial consultancy. Before joining FINCA, Vardan served as Head of the Department of Attracting International Financial Funds, Sales and CRM at Evocabank, and prior to that, held the position of Head of Sales and Customer Attraction Unit at Prometey Bank. Vardan started off his professional career in 2009 as a Financial Consultant at VTB-Armenia Bank. He later worked as a Market Research Methodologist, a Business Crediting Senior Analyst and a Senior Sales Manager at the same bank.
Vardan holds a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Management from The University of Nottingham, UK, a Master’s degree in Finances and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Yerevan State University.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER, CHIEF ACCOUNTANT, MANAGEMENT BOARD MEMBER
Anush Petrosyan was born on May 30, 1979. She has served as Chief Financial Officer at FINCA Armenia since 2016.
Anush has over 15 years of experience, of which more than 10 years include providing audit services. She joined FINCA in 2013 as Corporate Audit Manager. In her rich career Anush has worked at KPMG Armenia, growing to the position of Audit Manager, and at Grant Thornton Amyot LLC in the position of In-Charge Auditor. Anush also acquired valuable experience working at the US Embassy in Armenia as an Economics Specialist, as well as at the Central Bank of Armenia as a specialist in the Monetary Policy Department.
Anush holds an MBA in Banking, Finance, Real Estate and Accounting from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, USA and a BA Degree in Economics from Yerevan State University. In 2007 she became an ACCA member and in 2012 became an FCCA (Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant).
GENERAL COUNSEL, HEAD LEGAL OFFICER, CORPORATE SECRETARY, MANAGEMENT BOARD MEMBER
Harutyun Chadryan was born on August 26, 1985. He has served as General Counsel and Head Legal Officer at FINCA Armenia since 2017. In 2018, in parallel to his main duties, Harutyun also assumed the role of the Corporate Secretary.
Harutyun has more than ten years’ experience in the legal field, seven of which were acquired in the financial and banking sphere. Before joining FINCA Armenia, Harutyun first held the position of Lawyer, then position of Chief Lawyer at “Panarmenian Bank” CJSC. Before that Harutyun acquired valuable experience in the legal field as a Leading Legal Adviser at “Areximbank – Gazprombank Group” CJSC, as a Lawyer at “Glendale Hills” CJSC, as a Lawyer and then as a Chief Lawyer at “Jakshin” LLC, as a Lawyer at “EMH Construction” CJSC, as a Lawyer and then as a Chief Lawyer at “International Development and Construction’ CJSC, as a Chief Lawyer at “Modern Buildings” LLC, as a Lawyer at 2AD CJSC and as a Lawyer at “AJ Const” LLC and “AG Development” CJSC.
Harutyun holds a Master’s Degree in Law from Yerevan State University. He also graduated from two-semester business law program of IIT, Chicago-Kent College of Law, School of American Law obtaining the Certificate of Completion.
In 2011, Harutyun received a license for practicing law and became a member of the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia.
Harutyun has received a certificate from the Central Bank of Armenia, which qualifies him to work in the positions of Executive Director (Board Member), Deputy Executive Director (Deputy Board Member) and Member of the Management Team (Board).
On May 07, 2022 Harutyun was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of “Association of credit organizations of the RA” (ACORA) by the annual general meeting and currently holds the position of ACORA Board member.
